Waters TA Instruments Discovery Core Rheometer (DCR) is a streamlined platform for rotational, oscillation, and transient rheological characterization of viscous materials. Precision air bearings, low-inertia drag cup motor, and high-resolution optical encoder enable accurate measurement under real-world conditions. Standard configuration includes 40 mm stainless steel upper parallel plate and lower Quick-Change Plate with integrated Peltier control (-10 °C to 200 °C) and air cooling, eliminating external circulators. Smart Swap geometry reader automatically identifies attached geometries; lower Quick-Change Plates allow rapid exchange, including textured plates. Optional Concentric Cylinder jacket (PN: 536490.901) enables cup-and-rotor testing for low-viscosity fluids with 0 °C to 150 °C control. Operated via touchscreen with RheoGuide, providing guided methods, workflow customization, and TRIOS-powered data acquisition, analysis, management, and reporting.
